The ideal candidate holds a Journeyman certification and has strong hands-on experience with utility systems. Required qualifications also include a high school diploma, Washington State Class 'A' CDL, and certifications in traffic control, First Aid, and CPR. Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain a Washington State Class 'A' CDL and associated Medical Examiner's Certification.
• Must possess and maintain flagging/traffic control certifications and valid First Aid and CPR certification cards.
• Familiarity with Part 1 of the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) as adopted by the State of Washington.

Responsibilities

• Construct, operate, maintain and repair substation equipment and devices.
• Ensure District system reliability by repairing substation equipment.
• Conduct electric tests on District equipment and tools.

Skills

Hands-on experience in utility OT systems and telecommunications

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Leadership experience

Ability to connect technical solutions to operational outcomes

Education

High School or equivalent GED

Journeyman certification in Substation Electrician craft
