Job summary

PG&E Vacaville seeks applicants for a Utility Worker-GC role within Electric Operations. The job involves digging trenches, handling equipment, and assisting skilled trades across the service area, often remote or elevated sites.

Candidates must meet the minimum qualifications and be prepared for travel and safety-driven duties. Starting wage is posted locally with bargaining wage rates; preference given to those within 50 miles of the headquarters.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and possess a High School diploma or GED.
• Valid California Class C driver’s license by day 1 of hire.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and travel across the service territory.
• Willingness to work extended hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Able to wear company PPE and work around high voltage and heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Dig trenches and holes safely and ergonomically.
• Load and unload equipment and maintain site housekeeping per safety standards.
• Perform construction work in powerhouses and switch yards across the service territory.
• Use hand and power tools and equipment, following supervisor directions.
• Read and comply with company standards and procedures; work in a team.
• Ensure safety as defined by PG&E's standards; operate in varied environments.
