RMS Energy in the United States is seeking Bus Field Technicians to support critical energy infrastructure projects nationwide. This hands-on field role involves welding aluminum conductors, interpreting drawings, and performing mechanical scopes on bus ducts, generators, and high-voltage equipment.

You will travel up to 75%, work outdoors in varied environments, and collaborate with diverse crews while maintaining safety protocols and proper PPE.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of aluminum welding experience (MIG required, TIG preferred).
• Familiarity with medium and high voltage electrical equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and proper PPE usage, including working at heights.
• Experience with substation construction or electrical bus installation is preferred.
• Proficient in operating forklifts, manlifts, and similar field equipment.

Responsabilités

• Work independently with minimal supervision and on-site supervision as needed.
• Collaborate with crews and other trades to execute projects safely.
• Interpret construction, welding, and electrical drawings and read measurements per layout plans.
• Determine welding methods and set up components per job specs.
• Rig, lift, align, and fit electrical bus equipment according to drawings and specs.
• Weld aluminum components in multiple positions (6G test included).
• Maintain tools and welding equipment in safe condition.
• Inspect and organize parts for installation and keep records.”
• Operate electrical test equipment (Hi-Pot, Ductor, Megger) and document results.
• Follow RMS Energy safety policies and PPE protocols.
