Position Overview

We are currently looking for a motivated Substation Engineer to join our growing Substation and Transmission Line Design team! As part of a team of highly specialized design professionals, you will support a variety of substation, transmission, and distribution projects ranging from 12kV to 500kV. We support both engineering design and EPC projects for clients nationwide.

Location

This position is based in Houston, TX. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the project team to create design documents and drawings, including diagrams, schematics, layouts, and details.
• Develop specifications for procurement, installation, and testing of substation equipment.
• Use engineering software for ground grid design, equipment sizing, relay coordination, and electrical studies.
• Coordinate project activities with stakeholders, including project leads and clients.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• At least 2 years of engineering-related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of standards such as NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, and ANSI.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Legal work authorization in the U.S.
