Position Overview

Kiewit Power Engineers has an immediate opening for a motivated Substation Engineer to join our growing Substation team in the Power Delivery department! As part of this team of highly specialized design professionals, you will support a variety of substation, transmission, and distribution projects ranging from 12kV to 500kV, including engineering detailed design and EPC projects for clients across the country.

Location

This position is based in The Woodlands, Dallas-Ft. Worth, or Houston, TX.

Responsibilities

• Provide project coordination and engineering oversight on substation projects.
• Develop specifications for procurement, installation, and testing of substation equipment.
• Use engineering software for ground grid design, equipment sizing, relay coordination, and electrical studies.
• Communicate with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to coordinate activities.

Qualifications

• B.S. in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• Minimum of seven years’ engineering experience.
• Knowledge of NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, and ANSI standards.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
• Strong communication skills in English.
