Qualifications

• ABET-accredited university degree required and 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in electric substation maintenance and field engineering.
• Demonstrated substation maintenance and test experience required.
• Professional Engineer license in applicable state.

Responsibilities

• Plans and coordinates large engineering projects, scheduling and cost tracking for company departments and customers.
• Performs complex engineering analysis for equipment ratings, insulation coordination, grounding, and lightning protection.
• Provides technical guidance to substation maintenance technicians and field operations staff.
• Helps plan design/ construction standards and evaluates new products and vendors.
• Performs maintenance program development, equipment specs, and preliminary designs in support of capital plans.
• Develops preliminary designs and estimates for System Planning studies.
