Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering (BSEE) from ABET-accredited university required.
• Experience in electric substation maintenance and field engineering.
• Professional Engineering license in applicable state preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans and coordinates larger scale engineering projects, scheduling and cost tracking.
• Performs engineering analysis for equipment ratings, insulation coordination, grounding, and lightning protection.
• Provides technical expertise for substation maintenance technicians and field operations personnel.
• Helps plan design and construction standards and evaluate new products/vendors; provides equipment recommendations.
• Prepares preliminary designs and estimates to support capital budgets and planning studies.
• Maintains and documents engineering work and supports maintenance specifications.
