Position - From 3 Years to Engineering Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and analysis of high‑voltage substations (69kV to 500kV), including equipment layouts, grounding systems, and protection and control schemes.
- Oversee technical deliverables such as site layouts, equipment specifications, and substation modeling to meet project specifications.
Project Involvement:
- Collaborate with project managers, permitting teams, and construction teams to ensure alignment on project objectives and seamless integration from design through execution.
- Prepare and review detailed plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
Problem Solving & Innovation:
- Address technical challenges in substation engineering, employing innovative solutions and best practices.
- Support system performance optimization and reliability improvements.
Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements (e.g., NESC, IEEE, and ASCE standards).
- Conducted quality checks and supported audits for project documentation and design integrity.
- Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering their growth within the organization.
- Lead design reviews and offer expertise to improve team outputs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- OR‑ Relevant industry experience in place of an engineering degree
- Relevant experience in substation design and transmission/distribution projects (medium to high voltage).
- Strong knowledge of substation and distribution system principles, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- P.E. license (preferred for senior‑level positions).
- PMP certification preferred
