b19 Consulting is working with an expanding EPC to find a Substation Engineer working coming from an electrical utility background. Here you will be able to take complete ownership of your projects from proposal through to construction.

The successful substation engineer will have:

• 4+ years utility substation design experience (15kV through to 500kV)
• Bachelors’ degree in Electrical Engineering with emphasis on high voltage and power distribution systems.
• Strong communication skills to co-ordinate with project engineers, designers and client representatives.
• Ability to lead a large portion or the entirety of a substation design project.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers
• Detailed design of new substation layouts using electrical schematics, bill of materials and equipment specifications.
• Experience preparing substation design calculations such as bus sizing, power loading, DC loading, lighting and cable sizing.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred
