HDR, Inc. is seeking a Substation Engineer in Spokane, WA to lead design efforts for power projects. You will coordinate a design team, engage with code officials, and ensure deliverables meet schedule and quality standards. This role requires a PE license and strong experience in protection & controls or electrical assembly.

The position is full-time, on-site in the Pacific Northwest, with opportunities to collaborate across HDR's global Power sector and grow within an employee-owned culture.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer license recognized by the licensing board for the position location.
• Minimum 3 years experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector.
• Experience in Substation Engineering with emphasis in Protection & Controls or Electrical Assembly.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate the work of the power design team through schematic design development and contract documents.
• Establish meetings and participate in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance.
• Coordinate workload to complete deliverables on schedule.
• Conduct on-site work sessions with the Project Manager and other disciplines.
• Review project documents for conflicts with other disciplines.
• Write and edit project specifications.
• Coordinate with affected disciplines on addenda, RFIs, COs and incorporate changes into documents.
• Provide construction contract administration as needed.
• Conduct QA/QC on work of other engineers, coordinators, designers or BIM Technicians.
• Perform other duties as needed.

In the role of Substation Engineer, we'll count on you to:

• Coordinate the work of the power design team through the schematic design development and contract document phase of a project
• Establish meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
• Coordinate workload to complete the deliverable on schedule.
• Conduct work sessions at the project site in conjunction with the Project Manager and other disciplines
• Review project documents for areas of conflict with other disciplines.
• Write and edit project specifications
• Coordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, requests for information (RFIs), change orders (COs), and take responsibility to incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documents
• Provide construction contract administration as needed
• Conduct QA/QC on the work of other Engineers, Project Coordinators or Designers, or BIM Technicians as needed
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector
• Previous experience with an engineering consulting firm
• Experience in Substation Engineering, with emphasis in Protection & Controls or Electrical Assembly.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering

Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.

• Previous experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector.
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office as well as standard Power Market Sector design software. (examples include PLS CAD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, and Revit)
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture
