Job summary

NV Energy is hiring an Electrician to construct, erect, and maintain substations and related equipment in Northern Nevada. The role requires completing Electrician Apprentice training or equivalent and being able to perform switching and testing on substation gear.

Qualified candidates will work under DOT/FMCSA regulations, with drug and alcohol testing requirements and potential relocation assistance or a sign-on bonus to facilitate relocation to our Northern Nevada locations.

Qualifications

• Must have completed Electrician Apprentice training or equivalent.
• Qualified to install, maintain, test, and repair substation equipment.
• Able to perform switching.
• DOT/FMCSA regulated; drug/alcohol testing required.

Responsibilities

• Construct, erect, and maintain substations.
• Install, maintain, test, and repair transformers, regulators, breakers, switchboards, generators.
• Perform switching and operate related equipment.
• Demonstrate required training/knowledge.
