Job summary

Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Technician for the Protective System Testing team to support protection and control of the city’s grid.

You will work on testing large power transformers, circuit breakers, and microprocessor-based relays, with in-house training at our Learning Center and field placements. You will learn to read schematics, operate testing equipment, and travel within the service territory.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Electrical Technology or 2 years of engineering program/technical military training.

Responsibilities

• Learn to test complex circuits and read AC/DC schematics.
• Participate in training program at Learning Center and in-field.
• Test, troubleshoot and repair protective relays and substation equipment.
• Travel within the company service territory as required.
