Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking an Electrical Associate Engineering Technician to support substation projects. You will draft 2D/3D deliverables, including one-line diagrams and schematics, using CAD tools under general supervision, with mentorship to junior technicians.

The role requires knowledge of electrical engineering principles and experience with CAD software. Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days based on performance and assignments.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate preferred.
• Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
• Minimum 2 years related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Stay current on applicable standards, systems, document control practices and BV policies.
• Create and develop project deliverables based on design inputs.
• Perform basic computations, including material quantity estimates and dimensional checks.
• Coordinate deliverables with other project groups to minimize errors and interferences.
• Support internal client needs while understanding external client priorities.
