Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• Typically, 2 or more years of substation, electrical, or utility drafting experience.
• Equivalent combinations of education, training, and practical experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete substation drawing packages, including one-lines, panel layouts, AC/DC schematics, wiring diagrams, and physical layout drawings.
• Ensure compliance with client standards or BHMG standards when client standards are not provided.
• Maintain and update drawing lists, ensuring accuracy, document control, and alignment with approved project deliverables.
• Interpret engineering markups, design criteria, and standards to produce accurate, compliant drawings.
• Update and revise existing drawings, resolving drafting inconsistencies and documentation gaps.
• Plotting, batch plotting, scanning, and issuing drawing and documentation packages.
• Manage workload across multiple projects, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Provide basic drafting guidance and standards support to Associate Drafters.
