Job summary

HDR is seeking an entry-level Substation Designer to join a nationally ranked team of Power Delivery professionals in Raleigh, NC. The role requires preparation of engineering drawings and designs for electrical substations. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with experience in AutoCAD and MicroStation preferred.

Qualifications

• EIT certification or the ability to pass the FE Exam within 6 months is preferred.
• Experience working for an electric utility is an advantage.
• Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering drawings and designs for electrical substations.
• Work with Designers and CADD Technicians on project specifications.
• Conduct site visits during various phases of projects.
