Job summary

Nexus Engineering Group is seeking a Designer to provide design and drafting services for utility projects, focusing on substation layouts, wiring diagrams, and power distribution. This role involves visiting client facilities and performing on-site measurements and documentation.

The candidate should have an Associate Degree in a technical discipline, strong AutoCAD Electrical skills, and 3–5 years of substation design/drafting experience, with the ability to travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent required.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical.
• 3–5 years of substation electrical design/drafting experience.
• Knowledge of field investigations and measurements.
• Familiarity with utility and client-specific standards.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Provide design and drafting services meeting client requirements.
• Create detailed substation layouts, wiring diagrams and one-line diagrams.
• Prepare electrical schematics, interconnection diagrams, and schedules.
