Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group seeks an Engineering Intern to support substation design projects, learning physical layouts, protection and control systems, and industry standards alongside experienced engineers.

You are pursuing a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited). CAD tools familiarity is a plus, and strong communication and teamwork are essential for success in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Interest in substation components and design principles.
• Familiarity with CAD tools is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing substation layouts, grounding, and control buildings.
• Support development of protection and control schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Help prepare design drawings, calculations, and material bills.
• Learn NEC, NESC, IEEE, and ANSI engineering standards.
• Participate in quality reviews and refine designs with engineers.
• Maintain project documentation and assist with calculations.
• Attend team meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
