Job summary

Crest Industries, Inc. through its DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations division is seeking a Design Engineer to design high-voltage substation structures, foundations, and related components.

The role collaborates with project managers and customers to meet specs and codes. Candidates should have a civil/structural/mechanical engineering background, a PE license, and hands-on experience with AutoCAD, MathCad, LPile, PLS Pole, and Staad Pro.

Qualifications

• PE license is required.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with AutoCAD, MathCad, LPile, PLS Pole and Staad Pro is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preliminary design estimates for proposals, project management, and documentation coordination.
• Designs and interprets drawings for substation structures, foundations, lightning protection, and bus systems.
• Reviews drawings for equipment, structure designs, and specs; ensures compliance with codes and customer specs.
• Creates and/or checks structural and foundation design calculations.
• Answers technical questions from project managers and customers; suggests improvements to the customer experience.
