Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Substation Coordinator in Seattle, WA to conduct analyses for electrical design options and assist with cost estimates and specifications.

You will perform routine assignments under supervision and contribute to projects with clear objectives, working with engineers and technicians. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and strong Microsoft Office skills; an Electrical Engineering degree with emphasis is preferred, and an EIT license is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office required.
• Active participation in employee-owned culture expected.
• Electrical engineering degree with emphasis preferred.
• EIT license preferred; without it, progression path as Substation Coordinator to obtain EIT.
• Internship experience beneficial.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, AGI and Easy Power recommended.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analyses to develop electrical design options and assist in cost estimates and specifications.
• Perform routine electrical engineering tasks under supervision.
• Contribute to projects with clear objectives and limited variables.
• Support senior engineers on larger projects as needed.
• Collaborate with Project Engineers, other EITs or Technicians as required.
• Perform other duties as needed.
