Job summary

Paycom is seeking a Control Journeyman Technician to provide reliable support to technicians and work independently in Georgia Power substations and panel shops. You will handle day-to-day issues, apply strong decision-making, and travel to multiple job locations as needed.

The role requires strong problem-solving, exceptional communication in both verbal and written forms, and the ability to manage time and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• AA degree in Construction, and/or Electrical Services or equivalent work experience.
• Experience installing and replacing equipment in substation control houses.
• Proficiency with wiring and terminating cables in control houses and yards.
• Ability to work in fast-paced multi-functional environments.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.
• Provides day-to-day direct support to crew(s).
• Schedules projects effectively and follows up on questions or concerns promptly.
