Actalent is seeking a Substation Construction Manager to oversee a multi‑year substation construction and commissioning program across TX, LA, and AR. You will lead subcontractor crews, drive production, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule alignment on site.

The role emphasizes field leadership, risk management, and clear communication with project teams and stakeholders. A strong background in electrical distribution and project coordination is required, with 2+ years in a similar role.

Qualifications

• Substation construction mgmt experience in large projects.
• Experience with distribution construction in power delivery.
• Ability to lead and coordinate large subcontractor crews.
• Strong understanding of electrical distribution and substation practices.
• Ability to read construction documents, drawings & specs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of substation construction and commissioning.
• Lead and coordinate subcontractor crews of up to ~25 people.
• Drive performance to meet production, quality, safety, and schedule targets.
• Ensure compliance with contracts, standards & specifications.
• Manage safety requirements and promote a strong safety culture on site.
• Maintain quality control/assurance for all work.
• Review construction documents to guide field execution.
