Merakey is seeking a Substance Abuse Specialist to join the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team in New Orleans, LA. This role provides individual substance abuse therapy and leads groups to members with severe mental illness and co-occurring disorders.

Responsibilities include creating person-centered treatment plans, updating crisis plans, conducting annual assessments, and applying motivational interviewing and harm reduction. Strong documentation and collaboration are essential.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related human service field.
• LAC, CAC, PLPC, LMSW, or Counselor In Training (CIT) licensure required.
• Knowledge of recovery principles and recovery-driven service system.
• Valid Louisiana driver's license.
• Appropriate state and federal clearances.
