Job summary

The Galilee Mission in Southern Rhode Island is seeking experienced counselors to join our nonprofit substance use treatment team. We offer both full-time and part-time opportunities.

Responsibilities include individual outpatient counseling, intake and assessment, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and thorough charting in compliance with state standards. LADC/LCDP/CADC are preferred; RI certification or progress toward one is expected.

Qualifications

• Formal education in counseling or related field is required.
• RI Certification in Chemical Dependency or equivalent, or progress toward one, is required.
• LADC, LCDP or CADC certifications are preferred.

• Provide individual counseling for outpatient clients.
• Perform screening, intake, assessment, treatment planning, case management, crisis intervention, education, record keeping, referral, relapse prevention, discharge planning, follow-up and aftercare.
• Provide accurate and timely charting procedures in compliance with State standards.
• Maintain a professional and therapeutic environment.

• Our counselors provide individual counseling for outpatient clients
• Perform screening, intake, assessment, treatment planning, case management, crisis intervention, education, record keeping, referral, relapse prevention, discharge planning, follow-up, aftercare and consultation
• Provide accurate and timely charting procedures in compliance with State standards
• Maintain a professional and therapeutic environment

Qualifications

Must have a formal education in counseling or related field and/or hold RI Certification in Chemical Dependency or its equivalent from another state or be working towards one. LADC, LCDP OR CADC certifications are preferred.
