Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; two years of responsible employment.
  • Experience in human services or related field preferred.
  • For St. Louis County programs: Bachelor's Degree or MA in AD/CI or II.
  • For Residential Care Facility: Level 1 MedAid (LIMA) credential and insulin certification within 90 days.
  • Background checks, valid driver's license, and CPR/First Aid certifications required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and engage clients through activities and recovery sessions.
  • Monitor health and safety; record vitals and withdrawal signs.
  • Support medication processes and document inventory.
  • Provide personal care as needed in residential settings.
  • Facilitate urine collection/testing and process lab results.
  • Complete shift reports and EHR documentation; alert team to concerns.
  • Conduct supervision checks and ensure presence at activities.
  • Provide client transportation and practice safe driving.
  • Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow program policies.
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and mandatory certifications.

The Substance Use Disorder Technician provides direct and supportive care to clients/patients bymonitoringday-to-day activities,observingand documenting behavior,assistingwith vital signs and health monitoring, intervening incrisesand communicating with the treatment team,facilitatinggroup and structured activities, and transporting clients as needed.
