Job summary

Ketchikan Indian Corporation (KIC) in Ketchikan, AK seeks a Substance Use Disorder Program Manager to provide daily oversight of the program, develop policies, and ensure quality improvement and licensure compliance. Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in a mental health and/or substance use clinical setting.
• Progressive administrative/management/leadership responsibilities.
• CDC II certification.
• Bachelor degree in the human service field or related area.
• Experience with medication-assisted treatment preferred.
• Knowledge of ASAM Criteria.

Responsibilities

• Provide general, daily oversight of program services.
• Delivers professional substance use disorder treatment and referral services.
• Performs a variety of casework activities including screening, intake and assessment, treatment planning and discharge planning.
• Maintains a regular caseload of clients, and sees walk-in clients in line with department expectations.
• Makes and receives referrals from other local agencies; establishes rapport with other programs and agencies.
• Provides advocate services for clients in obtaining services from public agencies, lawyers, schools, or others concerned with the client.
• Administrative duties include analyzing and writing reports, providing program direction, and staff supervision; assignments reviewed by Behavioral Health Director.
• Attends meetings, conferences and workshops to assist clients more effectively.
• Directly supervises the substance use disorder staff and provides clinical supervision to all providers.
• Collaborate with Behavioral Health Director to integrate care within KIC Tribal Health Clinic and with other programs.
• Ensures staff development through training plans and certification development plans.
• Ensures program evolves to integrate best practices, cultural knowledge, and Tribal goals.
