Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a full-time Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) for its Puyallup Behavioral Health Clinic. You will provide direct counseling services to patients struggling with chemical dependency, conduct individual and group therapy, and perform assessments.

Hourly Range: $27.05 - $29.22
Full‑time Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) position available at our Puyallup Behavioral Health Clinic. The applicant will work with patients suffering from chemical dependency. Applicants must have no history of alcohol or drug misuse for a period of two years prior to the time of employment.
This role is responsible for providing direct counseling services to patients, delivering one‑to‑one or group therapy, performing assessments, evaluations, and intakes. Services are provided to adults, youth, and families. Applicants should have demonstrated rapport, empathy for, and the ability to communicate with recovery patients. The clients have a primary diagnosis of chemical dependency and may also have emerging mental health problems.
Applicants are expected to subscribe to the disease concept of chemical dependency with the belief that total abstinence is required for ongoing recovery from alcoholism and other drug addiction. This job description does not indicate that these are the only duties to be performed by this employee; the person in this position will be required to follow other instructions and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. The counselor will understand that services at the organization follow a client‑centered model with emphasis on integrated care.
