ReDiscover is seeking a qualified Mental Health Professional to join the Women & Children program in Kansas City, MO. You will manage a caseload of clients receiving substance use and co-occurring mental health services, conduct biopsychosocial assessments, and develop recovery-focused treatment plans.

You will provide individual counseling and lead group sessions, coordinate with an interdisciplinary team, and connect clients with housing, employment, and community resources.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree preferred; minimum is High School Diploma or GED.
  • Active clinical license (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT) or active provisional license (PLPC or LMSW) through Missouri preferred.
  • Certification by Missouri Credentialing Board as SUD Professional (CADC/CRADC/CRAADC or similar) is required.
  • At least two years of direct service experience in mental health/s Substance Use Disorder setting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an assigned caseload of clients receiving substance use and co-occurring mental health services through in-person and virtual appointments.
  • Complete biopsychosocial assessments, clinical interviews, and screening tools to identify needs and plan treatment.
  • Develop and update individualized treatment and recovery plans with measurable goals.
  • Provide individual counseling focused on recovery, relapse prevention, coping skills, and long-term wellness.
  • Facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic group counseling sessions promoting recovery and life skills.
  • Monitor client progress, adjust interventions, and communicate recovery updates within the team.
  • Coordinate care with an interdisciplinary treatment team and community partners.
  • Advocate for clients by connecting them with resources, housing, employment, and other referrals.
  • Respond to crises with risk assessments and de-escalation techniques; coordinate emergency interventions when needed.
  • Prepare timely documentation including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and ensure compliance with ethical standards and regulations.
  • Provide biopsychosocial assessment and case management for children/youth when applicable.

This program offers residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, day care services for children under 12, individual and group therapy, case management, peer support services, psychiatry and medicated assisted treatment.**What You'll Do*** Manage an assigned caseload of clients receiving substance use and co-occurring mental health services through in-person and, when appropriate, virtual appointments.* Complete comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, clinical interviews, and screening tools to evaluate client needs, strengths, and treatment recommendations.* Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment and recovery plans in collaboration with clients, incorporating measurable goals and evidence-based interventions.* Provide individual counseling focused on recovery, relapse prevention, coping skills, behavior change, and long-term wellness.* Facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic group counseling sessions that promote recovery, life skills, relapse prevention, emotional regulation, and peer support.* Monitor client progress toward treatment goals, adjust interventions as needed, and maintain ongoing communication regarding recovery progress.* Coordinate care with an interdisciplinary treatment team, including medical providers, case managers, peer support specialists, and community partners to ensure comprehensive, client-centered care.* Advocate for clients by connecting them with community resources, recovery supports, housing, employment services, and other appropriate referrals.* Respond appropriately to client crises by conducting risk assessments, implementing de-escalation techniques, and coordinating emergency interventions when necessary.* Complete timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries, and other required records.* Maintain client confidentiality and provide services in accordance with ethical standards, agency policies, and all applicable state and federal regulations.* Provide biopsychosocial assessment and case management services as appropriate for children and youth who are ReDiscover clients.**Requirements of the Position*** Availability to work a full-time schedule, (40-hours a week), Monday to Friday - 8:00am to 5:00pm.* Master’s or Doctorate Degree preferred. Minimum educational requirement is a High School Diploma or GED.* Active clinical license (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT) or active provisional license (PLPC or LMSW) through the State of Missouri is highly preferred.* Certification or registration as a Substance Use Disorder Professional by the Missouri Credentialing Board is the minimum licensure/certification requirement.
