Job summary

BayMark Health Services seeks a Compassionate Full Time Substance Use Counselor-In-Training to guide patients through treatment and recovery. You will conduct individual and group sessions, participate in crisis management, and collaborate with clinicians to optimize outcomes.

You’ll evaluate progress, develop treatment and aftercare plans, maintain records per Federal and State regulations, and contribute to a supportive outpatient clinic environment aimed at long-term sobriety.

Qualifications

• Must be working towards or hold current CIT license in Georgia.
• Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals.
• Positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward patient population.
• Ability to counsel 50-60 patients with documentation each month.
• Satisfactory criminal background check & drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Familiarity with 12 Core Functions of Counseling.
• Provide individual and group counseling; direct service hours; coordinate all services.
• Completes Bio-psychosocial assessment.
• Conducts initial assessment and evaluation interviews for service eligibility.
• Develop aftercare and discharge plans.
• Facilitates, establishes and reviews initial treatment plan with each patient.
• Maintains accurate clinical records per federal/state regulations governing NTP clinics.
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor.

Compassionate Full Time Substance U use Counselor-In-Training Needed!

Position Overview

Substance use counselor will be in charge with assisting patients through medically assisting treatments and offering techniques for handling opioid addiction. Counselor conducts individual sessions and group sessions to assist with crisis management and coping strategies. Counselor will evaluate patients’ progress during counseling and collaborate with doctors, nurses and other counselors to assist the patients’ achieving overall outcome.

Responsibilities:

• Familiarity with 12 Core Functions of Counseling
• Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service hours at regularly scheduled intervals; coordinate all services throughout treatment
• Completes Bio-psychosocial assessment
• Conducts individual initial assessment and evaluation interviews for service eligibility determination
• Develop aftercare plans and discharge plans
• Facilitates, establishes and reviews with each patient the initial treatment plan
• Ensures accurate and current clinical records are maintained in accordance with Federal and State Regulations governing NTP clinics
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor
