Job summary

VitalCore Health Strategies (VCHS) seeks a Full-Time Substance Addiction Counselor to serve at MCI-Framingham and MCI-Norfolk. The role involves working with a multidisciplinary Behavioral Health Unit to provide evidence-based treatment in a correctional setting.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree or higher, a substance use certification (CADC/CAADC/LADC), and at least 2 years of clinical experience. Travel between Framingham and Norfolk is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's level degree or higher.
• Minimum of 2 years employment in a clinician/counselor/social work capacity.
• Must have a substance use certification (CADC/CAADC/LADC).
• Must receive a satisfactory background investigation report.

Responsibilities

• Provides crisis stabilization and ongoing evaluations.
• Performs intakes and coordinates with in-house and community services.
• Develops treatment and discharge plans with qualified professionals.
• Delivers individual and group therapy using CBT and Motivational Interviewing.
• Maintains timely documentation and records.
• Collaborates with medical staff and other disciplines to coordinate care.
• protects patient confidentiality and ethical standards.
