Job summary

BayMark Health Services, a BAART Programs affiliate, is seeking a compassionate Substance Use Counselor in Fresno, CA to support patients through medically assisted treatments and to teach coping strategies for opioid use.

You will conduct individual and group sessions, develop treatment and discharge plans, and collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other counselors to drive improved patient outcomes in an outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Certified Counselor in the State of California.
• Experience with chemically dependent individuals preferred; non-judgmental attitude.
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service hours at regularly scheduled intervals; coordinate all services throughout treatment
• Completes Bio-psychosocial assessment.
• Facilitates, establishes and reviews with each patient the initial treatment plan
• Develop aftercare plans and discharge plans
• Ensure efficient and effective delivery of counseling services to all patients
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor
