BayMark Health Services, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor to guide patients through medically assisted programs and coping strategies for opioid addiction.

The role includes group and individual sessions, crisis management, and progress evaluation, with collaboration with clinicians for optimal outcomes. The position requires CADC or LADC in Maine, a high school diploma as minimum, and preferably a Bachelors/Master's in social or health services, plus experience with

Qualifications

• Must hold CADC or LADC in the state of Maine.
• Minimum: High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a social or health services field.
• Previous experience with chemically dependent individuals is a positive factor.
• Certification required: CADC or LADC.
• Essential: Positive, non-judgmental attitude toward patients.
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsabilités

• Conducts individual initial assessment and evaluation interviews for service eligibility determination
• Facilitates, establishes and reviews with each patient the initial treatment plan
• Completes Bio-psychosocial assessment.
• Involve families and significant others in patient’s recovery process whenever possible
• Develops and participates in individual or group patient teaching projects
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor
