Job summary

WellLife Network's ACT Team in Brooklyn is seeking a Substance Abuse Specialist to lead integration of evidence-based treatment for individuals with co-occurring disorders. The role provides individual and group counseling, coordinates services, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to support recovery.

The position requires a graduate degree, licensure or CASAC, with travel up to 50%. Salary range is $60,000 to $70,000 per year, plus robust benefits.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in social work, mental health, marriage and family therapy, or a CASAC is required.
• Minimum two years experience with mental health and substance use; behavioral health population preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized service plans.
• Provide individual and group counseling and relapse prevention.
• Coordinate screenings and referrals to treatment providers and community resources (AA, NA).
• Collaborate with ACT team to integrate goals into treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation within required timeframes.
• Ensure compliance with OMH, AOT, and agency policies.
• Assist individuals with independent living skills and community integration.
