Job summary

Groups Recover Together in Kennewick, WA seeks a Substance Use Counselor to lead group therapy sessions in-person. You will work with care teams to support member-centered recovery, document outcomes, and participate in community outreach.

Schedule is Monday–Thursday 8–6 PM PST with a compensation range of $60,000–$78,000 annually. Active WA licensure (LMHC/LCSW/LMFT) or Certified SUDP is required, plus at least two years of group leadership in a SUD setting.

Qualifications

• Active WA license: LMHC, LCSW, LMFT and/or Certified SUDP.
• Minimum two years leading groups in a SUD setting.
• Proficient with EMR and Telehealth software; comfortable with Google products.

Responsibilities

• Lead 3-4 one-hour group therapy sessions per day.
• Facilitate group discussions using approved modalities.
• Collaborate with prescribers, care navigators, and recovery coaches.
• Monitor member progress and document outcomes.
• Support a recovery-oriented environment for members.
• Engage in local community outreach to promote Groups' mission.

Responsibilities

• Lead 3-4 one-hour group therapy sessions per day using a structured, evidence-based curriculum.
• Facilitate group discussions using a "plug and play" approach from approved modalities to meet members where they are within the guardrails of our clinical framework.
• Collaborate with prescribers, care navigators, and recovery coaches.
• Monitor member progress and document outcomes.
• Support a positive, recovery-oriented environment for members.
• Engage in local community outreach to promote Groups' mission.

Qualifications

• Salary range: $58,000-$81,000 / year *Based on experience, and education
• Schedule:
• An active fully independent WA license: LMHC, LCSW, LMFT and/or Certified SUDP (Substance Use Disorder Professional)
• Minimum two years' leading groups in a SUD setting.
• High comfort level with Technology: EMR, Telehealth software, Google products (Gmail, Google Docs/Sheets/Drive), mobile apps, etc.
• Compassion, collaboration, commitment to quality care, and an investment in member success.
• Ability to work 2-3 evenings per week up to 9pm as needed.
• Other preferred backgrounds, experience, and skills include: mental health, social work, substance use disorder treatment, therapy, human services, social services, medication assisted treatment or MAT.
