Job summary

BayMark Health Services is seeking a compassionate Licensed Substance Use Counselor in Texas to guide patients through medically assisted treatment and evidence-based coping strategies. The role involves both individual and group sessions, ongoing progress evaluation and coordination with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must possess LCDC in Texas.
• Previous experience with chemically dependent individuals preferred.
• Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental attitude toward patients.
• Understanding of an EMR system (electronic medical records).
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients through medically assisted treatments and opioid addiction techniques.
• Conduct individual and group sessions for crisis management and coping strategies.
• Evaluate patients’ progress and collaborate with doctors, nurses and counselors to support outcomes.
• Provide individual and group counseling; maintain direct service hours; coordinate services throughout treatment.
• Develop, review and update initial treatment plans with each patient.
• Complete bio-psychosocial assessments.
• Develop aftercare and discharge plans.
• Ensure delivery of counseling services in a trauma-informed manner.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Counselor conducts individual sessions and group sessions to assist with crisis management and coping strategies. Counselor will evaluate patients’ progress during counseling and collaborate with doctors, nurses and other counselors to assist the patients’ achieving overall outcome.

Responsibilities

• Substance use counselor will be in charge of assisting patients through medically assisting treatments and offering techniques for handling opioid addiction.


• Counselor conducts individual sessions and group sessions to assist with crisis management and coping strategies.


• Counselor will evaluate patients’ progress during counseling and in collaborate with doctors, nurses and other counselors to assist the patients’ achieving overall outcome.


• Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service hours at regularly scheduled intervals; coordinate all services throughout treatment


• Facilitates, establishes and reviews with each patient the initial treatment plan


• Completes Bio-psychosocial assessment.


• Develop aftercare plans and discharge plans


• Ensure efficient and effective delivery of counseling services to all patientsin trauma informed manner


• Other related duties as determined by supervisor

Qualifications
