Job summary

BayMark Health Services is seeking a compassionate Full Time Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor for AppleGate Recovery, its outpatient clinic. The role focuses on patients in Medication Assisted Treatment for opioid use disorder, using evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches to improve quality of life.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, evaluate progress, and help develop individualized care plans alongside doctors and nurses.

Qualifications

• Must hold at least one Kentucky clinical license (LCADC, CADC, LCSW/CSW, LMFT/LMFTA, or LPCC/LPCA).
• Experience with individuals affected by chemical dependency.
• Positive, non-judgmental attitude toward patients.
• Drug screen and criminal background check required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling; coordinate services throughout treatment.
• Conduct initial assessment and evaluation for eligibility.
• Complete bio-psychosocial assessment and establish treatment plan.
• Respond to patient grievances and develop aftercare plans.
• Other duties as directed by supervisor.

Compassionate Full Time Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor Needed!

Position Overview

The licensed counselor will be responsible for offering support and assistance to patients enrolled in Medication Assisted Treatment for opioid use disorder. Utilizing evidence-based practices and a trauma-informed approach, the counselor will help patients develop individualized coping techniques and symptom management skills that enable them to experience improved quality of life. Through collaboration with doctors, nurses and a multidisciplinary team, the counselor will play a vital role in evaluating patient progress and developing an individualized plan of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service at regularly scheduled intervals based on patient need, best practices, and state regulations; coordinate all services throughout treatment.
• Conducts initial assessment and evaluation to determine eligibility for services.
• Complete Bio-psychosocial assessment.
• Establish individualized treatment plan with each patient and review as clinically indicated.
• Respond, as needed, to patient grievances and complaints.
• Develop aftercare and discharge plans.
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must hold at least one of the following in the state of Kentucky:
  • Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC)
  • Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC)
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Clinical Social Worker (CSW)
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFTA)
  • Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA)
• Prior experience working with individuals affected by chemical dependency
• Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward the patient population.
• Successful completion of a drug screening and criminal background check is required
