Job summary

New Season Treatment Centers invites qualified clinicians to join our team in Minnesota. As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will engage patients through individual, group, and family counseling with a collaborative treatment team to address clinical needs and enhance overall well-being.

Qualifications

• Education/Licensure/Certification: Active MN LADC or LPC in Minnesota.
• Experience in the substance abuse field is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Complete intakes, admissions, discharges, and transfer paperwork.
• Document patient progress through counseling and group sessions.
• Create patient psychosocial and individualized treatment plans within required timeframes.
• Identify clinical/case management needs and address them.
• Provide individual, group, and family counseling as required.
• Maintain at least 20 hours of direct patient contact per week.
• Educate patients on treatment, health issues and steps to recovery.
• Review Urine Drug Screens and patient photo ID.
• Protect proprietary data and company rights.

As a Substance Abuse Counselor you'll engage with your patients with individual, group, and/or family counseling. You'll work with a collaborative treatment team consisting of our Medical Director, Program Director, Treatment Services Coordinator, Counselors and Nurses to identify and meet the clinical needs of the patient and to assist in their overall well-being.

Essential Functions

• Work with patients to complete intakes, admissions, discharges, and transfer paperwork.

• Document patient progress through counseling and interaction through groups.

• Complete patient psychosocial and an individualized treatment plan within the required time frame.

• Identify any clinical/case management needs and work to address those needs.

• Perform individual, group, and family counseling as required.

• Perform at least 20 hours of direct one-on-one patient contact per week through individual and/or group counseling sessions.

• Educate patients in all aspects of treatment, corresponding health issues and steps to recovery.

• Reviews Urine Drug Screens and initial patient photo identification.

• Always act in the best interests of the program and company; honors, supports, and protects the proprietary data and rights of the company.

Essential Qualifications

Education/Licensure/Certification: Qualified candidates must have an active MN LADC or LPC from the state of Minnesota.

Experience Required: Experience in the substance abuse field is preferred, but not required.
