Position Description

The Counselor provides direct counseling and case management services to patients, consisting of individual and group services, including assessment, individualized treatment plans, counseling, and aftercare services. The Counselor will adhere to the vision and mission of the Company.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain caseload per State Regulations
  • Assure incoming patients have psychosocial assessment and an interpretive summary according to the timeline in the ARS Policies and Procedure Manual
  • Complete, with patient participation, a Preliminary Treatment Plan according to the timeline in the ARS Policies and Procedure Manual
  • Complete a Treatment Plan Review and update for each patient after completion of the Comprehensive Treatment Plan according to the timeline in the ARS Policies and Procedure Manual
  • Prepare an aftercare transition plan for all patients at the earliest possible time and review it prior to discharge
  • Be proficient with State Licensure Standards, CARF Standards, 42 CFR, HIPAA standards, and Company policies
Qualifications

Bachelor's or Associate's degree with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, or other related field.
