Job summary

Crossroads Treatment Centers in Greensboro, NC, is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to provide direct counseling and comprehensive case management. The role requires early hours and a strong focus on assessment, treatment planning, and coordinating care across the clinical team.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma with a preference for a Bachelor's, and must be registered with the NC SAP board (LCAS/LCAS-A/CADC/CADC-I). Prior opiate treatment experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Must be registered with the NC Substance Abuse Professional Certification board (LCAS, LCAS-A, CADC or CADC-I).
• Experience treating opiate-addicted patients is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides individual counseling to highly complex patients.
• Conducts clinical assessments to determine treatment needs.
• Designs and updates the patient’s treatment plan, including care coordination, referrals, and discharge planning.
• Manages assigned caseload and ensures compliance with clinical requirements.
• Collaborates with nurses and providers to deliver holistic treatment services.
• Facilitates urine drug screening for patients.
