Job summary

Amethyst Consulting & Treatment Solutions, PLLC is hiring a Substance Abuse Counselor to lead SAIOP groups for adults and adolescents in person. The role includes individual counseling, family engagement, and developing personalized treatment plans within a collaborative care team.

Responsibilities include initial assessments, progress tracking, and updating goals, plus documenting all services in the electronic health record. Strong communication and ethical care are essential.

Qualifications

• Lead therapeutic group sessions for adults and adolescents in SAIOP.
• Provide individual counseling and engage families when appropriate.
• Complete initial assessments and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Track client progress and update treatment goals as needed.
• Document services promptly in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate with therapists, psychiatric providers, case managers and community partners.
• Explain substance use, relapse prevention and recovery resources.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate groups for adults/adolescents.
• Conduct assessments and create plans.
• Engage families in treatment when suitable.
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes.
• Coordinate with care team and community partners.
