Zusammenfassung

Amethyst is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to work with adults and adolescents in SAIOP. You will lead group sessions, provide individual counseling, and engage families in the treatment process.

You will complete initial assessments, develop tailored plans, track progress, document in the EHR, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support recovery and community connections.

Contractor position with some evening hours, in-person at Amethyst locations.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services field required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Current NC CADC, LCAS-A, or Qualified Professional credential required.
• Prior experience facilitating groups or providing treatment for substance use disorders.
• Strong communication skills and ability to connect with both adults and adolescents.
• Organized, dependable, and committed to ethical, high-quality care.

Aufgaben

• Lead therapeutic group sessions for adults and adolescents.
• Provide individual counseling and engage families in treatment.
• Complete initial assessments and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Track client progress, update treatment goals, and refer when needed.
• Document all services promptly and accurately in the EHR.
• Collaborate with a team of therapists, psychiatric providers, case managers, and partners.
• Educate clients on substance use, relapse prevention, and community resources.
• Contribute to staff trainings, meetings, and supervision.
