Job summary

Reports to the Assistant Secretary and Managing Counsel. Responsibilities include preparing minutes, board consents, maintaining governance records, and performing targeted legal research.

Qualifications

• Education – BA or Paralegal certificate.
• Minimum of five years’ legal experience.
• Experience as a legal analyst or paralegal for law firm or corporate law dept.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across broad lines.
• Analytical capabilities and judgment to identify material issues.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and legal research apps.

Responsibilities

• Prepare minutes and written consents for subsidiaries.
• Assist governance liaisons with document execution and board consents.
• Coordinate with subsidiaries on financial transactions and intercompany settlements.
• Prepare and file qualifications, registrations, and withdrawals of subsidiaries.
• Maintain subsidiary governance records and database accuracy.
• Conduct legal research for governance purposes as needed.
• Research current business activities of Chevron subsidiaries and prepare affidavits.
• Compile governance performance metrics.
