Job summary

BBSI is seeking a Subsea Oil & Gas Test Technician to support setup, operation, testing, inspection, and documentation of specialized components used in subsea and oil & gas applications. The ideal candidate has hands-on mechanical testing experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to read technical drawings.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on technical experience in mechanical testing or related technical environments.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with hydraulic or pneumatic systems is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Set up and perform testing on subsea and oil & gas components and equipment.
• Prepare test specimens, fixtures, tooling, and instrumentation according to procedures.
• Operate pumps, pressure systems, valves, gauges, sensors, and data acquisition equipment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and procedures.
• Record data and observations with high accuracy.
• Troubleshoot test setups and equipment; inspect components before/after testing.
