Job summary

Subsea7 in Houston, TX is seeking a skilled Mechanical Hydraulic Technician Team Lead to manage our workshop handling subsea equipment and tooling. This shore-based role offers hands-on leadership in a safety-focused environment.

You will lead a team, coordinate maintenance, inspections, and parts sourcing, while ensuring on-time delivery, quality, and compliance with offshore standards. The role requires minimum 5 years in mechanical/hydraulic subsea work and a relevant trade qualification; SAP

Qualifications

• Desirable nationally recognized qualification or similar trade qualification in Mechanical/Hydraulic Engineering.
• Desirable mechanical or hydraulic academic qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years of Mechanical/Hydraulic experience within the subsea industry is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Mechanical Hydraulic Workshop team.
• Provide subsea equipment and tooling to customers within timelines.
• Perform inspections, maintenance, repairs, and tests.
• Plan and execute maintenance per schedules.
• Manage spare parts inventory.
• Maintain equipment records and service documentation.
• Ensure compliance with workshop processes and safety.
• Coordinate resources to support on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional workshop teams.
• Monitor equipment status and availability.
• Maintain clean and safe workshop facilities.
• Support budget by tracking expenditures.
• Assist in process improvement.
• Coordinate third-party contractor support.
• Build relationships with suppliers.
• Ensure safe operation of workshop equipment.
• Communicate with internal customers about readiness.
