The position will use both telephone and writing skills to attract new subscribers and keep existing subscribers. The position will manage accounts for the print edition of the Lawrence Journal-World and digital subscription accounts for ljworld.com and KUsports.com. Required skills include: � Kind, personable demeanor that is comfortable talking with customers on the phone. � Writing skills to craft professional email messages to customers. � Good working knowledge of basic software programs such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. � Reliability and a willingness to work in an office environment that involves interaction with both co-workers and customers who come to our office for assistance. � Basic physical skills that involve occasional mailroom duties, such as preparing mail bags, moving bundles of newspapers and other such tasks. � A valid driver�s license to accommodate occasional duties of driving a delivery van to post offices and other locations. The Subscription Specialist is a full-time, hourly position that generally has a daytime schedule of Monday through Friday. However, occasional weekend and early morning work is expected.
