This position works closely with our clients and all related parties to obtain the necessary information to create recovery theories as well as coordinate the development of evidence to support those theories.PRIMARY JOB DUTIESDirect/conduct investigations to determine a claim's subrogation potential and pursue appropriate recoveryIdentify, investigate, and gather proper information in support of the recovery opportunityNegotiate settlements with responsible parties, and if a settlement can't be reached, direct legal action or file arbitration versus potentially responsible partiesWrite arbitration submissionsMaintain active diary to ensure all files are aggressively pursuedSECONDARY JOB DUTIESPrepare necessary documentation in a timely manner in accordance with established guidelines or requirementsResearch relevant statutes and case lawCreate legal demand lettersMaintain client relationships on assigned accounts by providing reports and summaries of filesAnswer phone calls from clients, witnesses, experts, insurance companies and adverse partiesIdentify additional opportunities in claims and filesManage the claim investigative process in a timely effective mannerEffectively communicate with clients throughout the claim processProper and timely documentation of efforts made and next step actions in support of client resultsRespond to all inquiries from all partiesProcess and / or approve checks in appropriate claims systemAssist in training new hiresCultivate strong business relationships with external partiesContinuously seek opportunities for process improvement and propose ideasFoster effective communication and collaboration between countries and cultures within all regionsAssist in subrogation project work as requiredAct as backup to other members of the teamMaintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality with all information entrusted withOTHER JOB DUTIESThis position will perform other duties as requested.
