You will prepare claims, negotiate settlements, and monitor progress with legal teams, adjusters, and safety and operations departments. You will maintain detailed records, provide updates to management, and identify trends to reduce future risks.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s in Business/Logistics/Insurance preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience handling insurance claims.
• Familiarity with trucking operations and logistics is beneficial.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; AS/400 and Tenstreet experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Gather facts related to accidents or damages.
• Assess the extent of damage to vehicles or property.
• Determine whether third parties are responsible for damage or loss.
• Evaluate insurance coverage and applicable laws to establish fault.
• Prepare and submit claims to the responsible party or their insurer.
• Negotiate settlements to recover costs related to repairs or downtime.
• Monitor the status of claims to ensure timely resolution and payment.
• Work with legal, adjusters, and other departments to gather necessary information.
• Maintain detailed records of investigations, claims and recoveries.
• Provide updates to management on recovery efforts and trends.
• Identify trends and recommend policies to reduce future risks.
• Download roadside inspections and communicate findings to departments and drivers.
• Monitor, log, and manage driver citations; verify details and process disputes.
• Ensure drivers understand responsibilities regarding citations and chargebacks.
• Freight and accident claim back-up; audit driver qualification files for compliance.
