The successful candidate will serve as a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Technical Writing and will teach freshman composition and undergraduate English courses, including introductory and upper-level courses, with an emphasis on technical and professional writing. The position carries a 4/4 teaching load.The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain an active record of scholarship and professional development appropriate to their field of study and consistent with departmental and university expectations for tenure and promotion.Additional responsibilities include serving on departmental and university committees; participating in departmental and university functions and initiatives; providing academic advising and mentoring to students; and contributing to the academic and professional development of students.
The successful candidate will also be expected to demonstrate a willingness and ability to learn, incorporate, and effectively utilize instructional technologies across multiple course delivery modalities, including face-to-face, online, and hybrid instruction.
