Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Sustainment Engineer to support the US Navy at Crane, IN. You will join a collaborative team of engineers and technicians focused on sustainment activities within the NSWC Crane Strategic Systems unit, updating assets and infrastructure for Conventional Prompt Strike systems on new submarine classes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years of experience.
  • Experience in engineering design, modeling, and drawing development.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering, requirements, verification/validation, ICDs, and SEMP.
  • Ability to communicate with personnel at all levels and work independently or in a team.
  • US citizenship with interim secret clearance the start; ability to obtain secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and manage multiple tasks with changing deadlines.
  • Interact directly with customers to extract requirements, plan, and report status.
  • Prepare Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) to revise official drawings.
  • Conduct Failure Analysis and recommend corrective actions.
  • Create Quality Acceptance documents using drawings and program requirements.
