Job summary

Serco is seeking a Submarine Sustainment Logistician to support NAVSEA PMS 392 and TSUB activities. The role focuses on logistics planning, data management, and cross‑functional coordination to sustain in‑service submarines and ensure compliant, timely delivery of support.

You will develop logistics plans, support CM audits, monitor CSA metrics, and collaborate with multiple programs to resolve logistics issues while leveraging IT tools and Power BI for reporting.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance is required.
• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of Navy logistics experience OR Associate degree with 7 years OR High School Diploma with 9 years of Navy logistics experience.
• Navy/NAVSEA/submarine sustainment experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of configuration management and ILS processes and tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Develop logistics support plans (LCSP, SPB) and contribute to program planning.

• Participate in DMSMS/obsolescence management efforts and IPTs/WGs.

• Record meeting minutes and track action items for ILS initiatives.
• Assess risk mitigation in new designs affecting total ownership cost.

As the Submarine Sustainment Logistician you will support the In-Service Attack Submarines Program Office (PMS 392) which is part of Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Program Executive Office Submarines (PEO SSN), and Team Submarine (TSUB) ensuring the accuracy and compliance of contractual agreements, managing data, and facilitating communication between various stakeholders to support our logistics operations. Serco supports the US Navy for their Team Submarine InService contract in the maintenance, sustainment, and disposal of submarines. The Team Submarine concept unifies diverse submarine-related activities into a single submarine-centric organization with the goal of eliminating traditional stovepipe structures and processes in the submarine research, development, acquisition, and maintenance communities. Team Submarine provides improved communication among the various offices that contribute to the overall success of the United States Submarine Force.

In this role, you will:

• Assist in the development of logistics support plans (LCSP, SPB, etc.) and logistics considerations in program planning and documentation.
• Support Configuration Management (CM) Program audits, supportability assessment reviews, technical reviews, and evaluate documentation for impacts to logistics and life‑cycle logistics support.
• Monitor, document, and track Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) and logistics in‑service submarine platforms metrics, processes, and procedures. Ability to compare supply support issues with multiple programs such as CDMD‑OA, ESRS (NAVSUP), DLA, and In‑service engineering (ISEA) to help identify a resolution and track to completion.
• Participate in and support Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) and Obsolescence Management IPTs/WGs.
• Support Sustainment IPTs, Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) workshops and provisioning conferences.
• Support of HM&E/NPES systems, subsystems, equipment, and component change‑out integrated product support elements/integrated logistics support (ILS) elements product update/development/ILS certification.
• Provide Logistics review and analysis of change proposals, design improvement proposals, drawing changes, technical manual development, and lifecycle supportability/sustainment considerations.
• Provide review and analysis of risk mitigation issues with respect to new design proposals resulting from Reduction of Total Ownership Cost initiatives.
• Coordinate with in‑service submarine platform key product support providers to identify, track and resolve CM and ILS product deficiencies.
• Coordinate ILS meetings, record meeting minutes, provide logistical support, brief, and track action items/milestones.
• Assess and provide quality assurance feedback on all ILS documentation, draft instructions, and product deliverables.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• An active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• A Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience with U.S. Navy logistics procedures and systems.
• An Associates degree and 7 years of relevant experience with U.S. Navy logistics procedures and systems.
• A High School Diploma/GED and 9 years of relevant experience with U.S. Navy logistics procedures and systems.
• Navy/NAVSEA/submarine sustainment experience.
• Working knowledge of configuration management and modernization/alteration ILS processes and tools.
• The ability to travel up to 10%.

Additional desired experience and skills:

• Familiarity with DoD and NAVSEA Policy and Instructions for Logistics, Product Support and Digital Transformation, and Military Standards such as MIL‑STD‑3100 for Technical Data Packages.
• Working knowledge and experience in Navy acquisition, Integrated Product Support (IPS), and submarine sustainment, to include regulations, policies, processes, budget management, Information Technology (IT) systems, and techniques for product analysis in support of US Fleet operations.
• Working knowledge of Navy correspondence and records management requirements, including security classification and handling restrictions; and Navy correspondence
• Information Technology resources used to support acquisition and IPS, such as CDMD‑OA, ATIS, ERP, NTIRA, NDE, OneTouch, Haystack, etc.
• Advanced experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.).
• Working knowledge of Power BI.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as presentation skills.
• Attention to detail in written and verbal communications.
• Familiarity with handling restrictions (CUI, NOFORN etc.), sensitive, unclassified and classified documents.
• Knowledge of Records Management processes.
• Experience interfacing with customers. High comfort level working with and around all military/organizational levels, clients, customers, suppliers, and visitors.
• Must be highly reliable and demonstrate personal initiative to operate in a fast‑paced environment with changing priorities.
