Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking a Submarine Insulation Installer to work within our Lagging Department. The role involves handling materials such as fiberglass and providing thermal and acoustic insulation treatments on submarines.

Applicants must possess a High School Diploma or GED and have at least 5 years of pipecovering experience. This position may require working in confined spaces and obtaining a US Department of Defense SECRET Clearance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or 2+ years of relevant technical experience.
• 5+ years of relevant pipecovering experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide anti-sweat, personnel protection, thermal and acoustic insulation treatments.
• Interpret drawings and insulation schedules.
• Work in Radiological areas and confined spaces.
